Song: Thrice - Scavengers

This week, Thrice announced their 11th studio album! Horizons/East will be out September 17th on streaming platforms via Epitaph Records. To celebrate the announcement, Thrice also released a new song titled “Scavengers”.

The lyrics take a look at how issues bring us together, but also how they can disintegrate and destroy. For Dustin Kensrue (vocals/guitar), the song is (but also kind of isn’t) a thing of the past. Whether lost in a media diet that is essentially a disinformation pipeline or, relatedly, trapped in fear of a future of eternal conscious pain, Kensrue speaks of “toxic worldviews I once inhabited,” and in truth, “a lot of people that I love are still in that place.”

In Horizons/East, Thrice addresses the fragile and awkward arrangements that pass for civilization, while inviting us to dwell more knowingly within our own lives. Horizons/East is available to preorder HEREAll physical copies of Horizons/East will be available on October 8th!
