Song: Morgan Reese - butterflies,

Singer-songwriter, Morgan Reese recently released her latest single, “butterflies,” and it’s off her upcoming debut EP, Letters From The Invisible Girl!, out March 4th via EMPIRE!

According to Reese, “butterflies,” was written from a place of vulnerability after being hurt several times. The pulsing kick drum is meant to emulate a nervous heartbeat, “or experiencing butterfly-like anomalies,” she says. “I also feel like most songs about butterflies focus on the positive side of romance,” Reese goes on to say, “so I thought I’d write about how it feels when you don’t even want the butterflies to begin with.”
