Electropop act, St. Lucia has released their new album, Utopia, via Nettwerk Music Group!

Of Utopia, the band shared in an Instagram post, “What could I possibly say about an album that took 4 years to make, mostly during a pandemic, while having our second child, while relocating half way around the world and was in fact the second album to be made during that time but the first to be released that would do justice to that experience? Probably best to not say anything at all, but I’ll do my best.

Our vision for Utopia that only emerged as we were working on it was to make an album that was the antidote to the last few crazy years, but also acknowledged what we collectively went through. We could’ve just made a sad record. We could’ve pretended we were happy the whole time. But both of those would’ve been a lie. What we went through was one of the most extreme periods of our lives: extreme isolation, extreme intimacy, extreme sadness and at times moments of extreme elation and joy at being reunited with loved ones. We needed to somehow process the ambiguity of that experience, and the making of Utopia was our therapist.”

To celebrate the release of Utopia, the band is currently on tour with support from Caroline Kingsbury, Blanks, and Bayonne.
