Earlier this year, When We Were Young Fest was announced and everyone who loves the scene lost their mind! There were people asking if the lineup was legit while others made plans months in advance. Whatever the initial reaction was for music fans, the lineup was a dream with bands such My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Jimmy Eat World, AFI, The Used, and Taking Back Sunday performing at the festival.

This past Saturday, the festival was unfortunately cancelled due to high winds warnings. The festival resumed on Sunday and while many fans were disappointed about not being able to catch the festival on Saturday, those that were lucky to catch it on Sunday, may have seen Armor For Sleep.

With the festival taking place a state over from California, there are still some people who didn’t plan on attending the festival and lucky for us California fans, we have been lucky to see some of those bands play local throughout the last few days and may still catch some of them throughout the next few days. Armor For Sleep has a couple of shows coming up: House of Blues Anaheim on Sunday, October 30th AND The Regent on Monday, October 31st.

Last month, Armor For Sleep released The Rain Museum via Equal Vision Records. For those of us keeping track at home, this would mark the third album the band would release via Equal Vision with the other two being Dream to Make Believe (2003) and What to Do When You Are Dead (2005). The band released their third album via Sire Records titled Smile For Them (2007) before going their own separate ways. In early 2020, the band announced that they would be reuniting for a summer tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of What to Do When You Are Dead. Due to COVID-19, the tour was postponed to 2021. This year, the band went on tour with Dashboard Confessional and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Now they’re getting ready for the last day of WWWY, their show with The Starting Line, AND are currently on a co-headlining tour with Hawthorne Heights.

So for fans in the area that have been wanting to see Armor For Sleep live, you can catch them with The Starting Line on October 30th at House of Blues Anaheim or with Hawthorne Heights on October 31st at The Regent. You still have a chance to grab tickets as they are running low! You can get them HERE.
