Song: Brooklane - Breakaway

North Dakota based pop-punk quartet, Brooklane, recently released their new song, “Breakaway”!

“Breakaway describes how a toxic relationship can take its toll on someone when they are controlled by them for too long,” says vocalist, Alex Anderson. “You start to lose yourself and hold on to a false sense of love. Sometimes they will ignore you to pull you back in, so one of my favorite lyrical lines in the song is ‘Another missed call on your phone is all I'll ever be.’ We love playing the chorus live because of its driving guitars and energy. I think it will give us a chance to really connect with the crowd and share a relatable moment with alot of people who think they are alone dealing with something like this.”

Brooklane formed in 2020 during the pandemic and released their EP, Roll With the Punches. For anyone who is a fan of The Story So Far, State Champs, and Neck Deep, this is a band to add to your list of bands to keep your eyes on.
