Earlier this year when the lineup for When We Were Young Fest was announced, fans of emo, pop punk, and alternative music lost their minds! Bands such as My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Jimmy Eat World, AFI, The Used, and Taking Back Sunday performed at the festival. The beauty of living next to the state where it happened was knowing that some of the bands that played WWWY would probably play some shows in California. Two bands that played the festival that ended up playing in Southern California were The Starting Line and Armor For Sleep.

House of Blues Anaheim was filled with fans of The Starting Line and Armor For Sleep on Sunday, October 30th and what a show it was! As expected, both bands played fan favorites. Armor For Sleep kicked off the show and played songs such as “The Truth About Heaven”, “Remember To Feel Real” (my personal favorite!!), “Dream To Make Believe”, and “Car Underwater”. Fans sang along and did not miss a beat. The momentum would only continue throughout the night as The Starting Line took the stage.

The Starting Line decided to play their set straight through and not do an encore. Some songs the band played were “Island”, “Surprise, Surpise”, “Hello Houston”, “21”, and of course, “The Best of Me”. All around, it was a super solid show and I think I can speak for those in attendance, that we did not want it to end!

Armor For Sleep has a new album out via Equal Vision Records titled The Rain Museum and they are wrapping up their co-headlining tour with Hawthorne Heights tonight (November 3rd) in Tucson, Arizona. The Starting Line has a couple of East Coast shows next month. Dates and tickets can be found at startinglinerock.com.
