On Tuesday, July 19th, The Kia Forum in Los Angeles was filled with punk rockers and post hardcore kids (or adults that are still kids at heart) because one of the best lineups in years came through the area. If any of the fans in attendance are like me, the one way we saw Rise Against, The Used, and Senses Fail all on the same day in the past would be at a festival…say Warped Tour?! When this tour was announced, I knew it was a must to attend!
Rise Against followed up their 2021 album, Nowhere Generation, with a five-song EP, Nowhere Generation II, last month so it was expected that the band would probably do another headlining tour following their latest full length (they headlined a summer tour in 2021). As expected, fans went absolutely insane as soon as Senses Fail started their set with a classic, “Rum Is for Drinking, Not for Burning”. The Used played their hits such as “Take It Away”, “The Taste of Ink”, and “All That I’ve Got”. The energy the crowd brought continued to grow as the night went on and more fans started showing up. Finally, when Rise Against took the stage, everyone knew it was time release whatever energy they still had in them. To no one’s surprise, there would be hits played throughout the night such as “Prayer of the Refugee”, “The Violence”, “Help Is on the Way”, and “Give It All”. With a night full of bangers from all the bands, there was no way that people could stay still.
If this tour is coming to a city near you, it’s highly recommended that you go! For dates and tickets, you can go to riseagainst.com. And if the bands don’t make a stop in your town on this tour, keep your eyes peeled. Who’s to say the bands won’t announce other tours later this year?! Stay tuned!
