Episode 52 - Randy Moore, Jay Chiorean, and Tarif Pappu (Careful, Brother)

The guests for episode 52 of The Keep It Posi Podcast are Randy, Jay, and Tarif of Careful, Brother. Randy has played music with both Tarif and Jay in separate bands. Tarif and Randy play together in Get Married. Jay and Randy play together in a band called Rove. You may remember Randy from episodes 15 and 21 when he was previously on to talk about Get Married and The Moore Family Band. This time around, the conversation was mainly focused on Careful, Brother, which is a project that the guys started last year. Earlier this year, Careful, Brother released a song called “A Thousand Weeks”, a song about tour. Some people may draw a comparison to Crosby, Stills, and Nash. The song is awesome and you can stream it everywhere now!

This week, The Posi Spotlight is focused on 924 Gilman a DIY, nonprofit venue for music, art, and community events in Berkeley, California. 924 Gilman has been around since 1986 and continues to run as an all-ages, volunteer-run, drug, and alcohol-free safe space. Some of our favorite bands that have played at Gilman include Green Day, Bad Religion, Rancid, and The Offspring. Gilman has no “owner”, no co-owner, and no money coming in from anywhere except the front door, fundraising, and donations. To learn more or make a donation to 924 Gilman, you can visit 924gilman.org.
