Friday, August 26th, marked the second day of a co-headlining tour featuring post-hardcore band, Silverstein, and metalcore band, The Amity Affliction! Joining them on the tour are Holding Absence and Unity TX! This lineup rocked a SOLD OUT show at House of Blues in Anaheim with every band bringing their energy only to bring the best out of the fans in attendance!
Although Unity TX was the first band to kick off the night, the crowd did not stand still as the energy was on full display and it only continued on with Holding Absence. The Amity Affliction took the stage after Holding Absence and they played fan favorites such as “Don’t Lean On Me”, “Drag The Lake”, “Pittsburgh”, and “Soak Me In Bleach”. As expected, fans sang along to every song, but the rock did not stop there as the momentum carried through to Silverstein’s set.
The Canadian quintet played some fan favorites such as “Smile In Your Sleep”, “Smashed Into Pieces”, “Bad Habits”, “Vices”, and “My Heroine”. To add some more fun into the mix, Silverstein brought along a spinning wheel on tour. The wheel has titles of Silverstein songs that didn’t make the setlist and during the set, the band is bringing it out. The wheel gets 3 spins and whatever songs it lands on is what the band will play. The three spins in Anaheim determined that the crowd would hear “Stand Amid The Roar”, “November”, and “Call It Karma”. I can’t even remember the last time I heard the band play “November” or “Call It Karma”!
